270 MILLION people over the age of 60 fall down every year.
THE SIMPLEWAVE IS NOT JUST A WEARABLE DEVICE; IT’S AN EVOLVING WEARABLE PLATFORM.
ANGELO UMALI, CEO
Current personal emergency response systems rely on a button being pressed, but only 20% of the people who fall down press it! SimpleWave can automatically detect a fall and analyze the strength of the impact.
SimpleWave goes beyond just reacting to a fall. It analyzes changes in daily patterns to predict a fall and will vibrate to alert you that something is wrong and you should modify your behavior.
SimpleWave can wirelessly connect with your other approved medical devices and apps to integrate all your health data into a universal platform for care providers.
INDEPENDENT BUT CONNECTED.
79% of physicians say mobile can help better coordinate care.
INSPIRED BY YOU.
Like the river rocks that inspired its design, the simplewave learns you over time.
The Simple Facts.
75 million baby boomers accessing the healthcare system will make new technology imperative.
CONSUMERS WERE ASKED WHAT INFORMATION THEY WANTED FROM WEARABLES.
WORLDWIDE, THOSE 60+ ARE GROWING FASTER THAN ANY OTHER DEMOGRAPHIC.
EVERY YEAR MORE THAN ONE-THIRD OF PEOPLE 60+ HAS A FALL.
TWO-THIRDS OF THOSE WHO FALL WILL DO SO AGAIN WITHIN SIX MONTHS.
FALLS ACCOUNT FOR 17M DALYs (DISABILITY-ADJUSTED LIFE YEARS) LOST. ONE DALY = ONE LOST YEAR OF “HEALTHY” LIFE.
FALLS CAN RESULT IN A POST-FALL SYNDROME THAT INCLUDES DEPENDENCE, LOSS OF AUTONOMY, IMMOBILIZATION, AND DEPRESSION.
AS THE COST OF CARE RISES, MORE THAN 50% OF THE INJURY-RELATED HOSPITALIZATIONS AMONG THOSE 65+ ARE DUE TO FALLS.
NOTHING MAKES IT EASIER.
BUT WE CAN MAKE IT
